Duplo LEGO Camp
August 6, 2002
A tree fell in front of the bus when the students were going on
a field trip to a farm.

Call for help! Send the rescuing team.

Perhaps enough horses can help.

This vehicle can help.
The LEGO robotics class is working towards a systems enginering
project of an ice cream factory in a town.
Building ideas for Monday were structual strength. Tuesday
gearing was the main idea.
Wedneday will be the start of planning.
Sixteen 4th through 8th graders are builing in the big room in basement
of Cabell Hall -
the Continuing Ed Building on 20th Street.
The goal is to work as a group with various jobs done by smaller
groups
and have it all pulled together to make an ice cream factory.
Wednesday, we are going to try to look at all the parts
and try to get work on how to have them to work together.
Most students have done enough building to be able to build LEGO
projects with RCX
and are getting into RoboLab programming.
Some are getting the idea of how to send programs to SENSORSCITY.

We tried out the Mystery Project as a break from hard building.

It is not as easy as it looks.
